  • Way of Martial Arts — MogoDao Training in Daoist martial arts, chi gong, yoga and daoist sexual Jing cultivation practices (1 retreat & 6 months of continuous practice)

  • Way of Tea — Gong Fu Tea (Wu De) — studied in formal trainings for 1 year with Wu De and top student Baelyn Epslyn and Bree Fischer, deep personal daily practice for over 3 years to gain deeper cultivation.

  • Way of Cacao — started serving cacao at 16, worked in Cacao early startup (1 year) supporting with design, flavour training and then went on to Salon du Chocolate in Paris, in early developmental experiences with Dandelion founder, now serve cacao as integral practice for all ritual workings, and hosting ceremony.

  • California Culinary Institute — Flavour Palette Training and Testing

  • Way of Incense or “Kodo” — training program to study the way of Incense from Sensei Grandmother Voyce Durling-Jones.

  • Way of Calligraphy — training in Japan and 5 years of personal study in International Chinese American International School in traditional Chinese calligraphy.

  • Way of Photography — deep studies from father as a anthropologist photographer, and then studied formally film / dark room photography for 1 year.  Continued personal practice of film and digital photography for over 15 years. 

  • Way of Architecture — Studied under world-class teacher for 2 years, and then went on to study at the Sustainable Architecture school at University of British Columbia. 

  • Way of Slow Food — foodie family, and then did some cooking schools, trainings, and early days to study Slow Food in Italy, where I WWOFFed at 3 vineyards and biodynamic farms in Italy.  Also deep visitor of the first macrobiotic farm in Chiba, Japan.  Have personally worked in bakeries, gastro-pubs and flavor labs to be in the experimental grounds. 

  • Way of Alchemy — Learning essence making, vibrational essences, early years making flower potions (childhood 2-10 years old), and then took the Alchemy Training at Damanhur University.  Now work directly with world-class alchemist, called Clinical Alchemy to make custom spagyric recipes. 

  • Juice Alchemy — was assistant to founder of Odwalla’s second company, Adina Juice, where I worked and supported in the flavor lab.  In Hawaii, did a 3 month juice cleanse / fast and found remarkable effects. Incredible experiences mixing with Bone Broth cleansing, and coffee enema practices for seasonal cleanses.  Experience with prototyping many early types of cleanses and supplements, namely with Rose Holistic and Vidya Living.

  • Energy Medicine – Introduction course from Academy of Intuitive Medicine with Dr. Francesca, Phd and then also have worked directly with several of her students.  In last 2 years, worked directly with masterful practitioners, Katie Todd, and am continuous peer practitioner group of praxis.

  • Crystal Stone Healing — Learning from crystollagrapher James Zigras, Crystalline Lattice founder, Elan Gentry, & stone medicine with students of Jeffery Yuan.

  • Temple Dance — early years in Balinese temple dance (practicing in Balinese temples) and studied in school for 2 years.  Later explored many disciplines of dance (ballet, jazz, cuban salsa, and Afro-Brazilian). Have returned to dance recently as a therapeutic somatic and subtle body attunement practice. Have taken two workshops on DeviDasi Indian Temple dance with Halo Sareneko. 

  • Yoga — 5 years of hot Hatha yoga (Vancouver) 4 days a week practice, then retreats and study with Stacie Overby, VESSEL with Mari-carmen — and now personal practice.  Worked with founder of Agro-yoga to support with her new project. 

  • Way of Textiles — working as stylist for Vancouver Fashion Week, UBC Fashion Show, and StyleCanvas magazine. Head of costume design for Theatre, and several internships with fashion labels.

  • First child on Burning Man Playa at age 6 (1996, a year after official burn) at Fly Ranch. Went solo in final year (2018).

  • Travelled to 33 Countries in Exploratory pilgrimage spaces, either solo or in groups (largely self-organized).

  • East-Asian entrepreneurship ecosystem Mapping project  (6 months) – sponsored by T2VC Venture Studio in collaboration with Bjorn Cooley, a self-initiated research expedition where we blogged 3x/week on our own platform, Ruckus Makers, and completed with an ecosystem report – that was contributed (as creative commons) to Global Startup Genome Project, started by Max Marmer.
